Thecla
Harris is a native of Ohio where she began her
dance training with Nan Klinger.
She trained professionally with Dayton Ballet
II and was a guest performer with numerous companies.
She was a teacher with National Dance Institute
(NDI) for eight years. Her work included programs
with the blind and visually impaired, and emotionally
disturbed children. Ms. Harris led teacher training
workshops in “Process Pedagogy”
on the teaching techniques of NDI. Ms. Harris
also serves as Associate Artistic Director of
Reach Out And Dance (ROAD) of the Cuyahoga Valley
Youth Ballet and Artistic Consultant for BalletMet’s
Momentum in Columbus, Ohio.
