who we are :: Neal Kirkwood, Music Director

Neal Kirkwood, Music Director, is active as a pianist, composer, and arranger. He has performed and composed music for Joseph Chaikin, Sam Shepard, Anne Bogart, Otrabanda Company, Ralph Lee, and National Dance Institute. He leads his own jazz ensembles, The Chromatic Persuaders, The Neal Kirkwood Octet, and The Discovery Orchestra. In 2000, he was awarded an NYSCA Commission for his composition “The Future of Futurism.”
