Team Excel, RBKids’ scholarship program, offers an extensive curriculum for the study of musical theater. Students are selected from our in-school program and reevaluated on a yearly basis, based on their commitment to excellence. This special group of talented students meets after school for classes in jazz, tap, ballet, and voice, and they also participate in our Summer Intensive. Team Excel gives students the skills necessary to pursue a career in musical theater.

Summer Intensive is a four-week musical theater training program held during the month of July at New York’s City Center. Students from Team Excel will have classes in ballet, acting, voice, theater dance, and tap. Classes are held from 9:30 to 3:30, Monday through Friday. In addition to the RBKids teaching staff, performers from the Broadway community will conduct master classes in their fields of expertise. Each Friday, dancers, singers, and musicians—in styles ranging from Broadway to classical—will perform for Team Excel members and their families in our Friday concert series. Summer Intensive culminates in an Open House for family and friends.
