July 2004
RBKids' first Summer Intensive is held at City Center in midtown Manhattan. Rosie directed the children in a scene from The Wiz that was performed during our open house showing.

May and June 2004
RBKids' culminating performances are held in the six public schools participating in the spring semester.

April 2004
Tim Shew and Denise Summerford from the Broadway community visit classrooms to perform for students.

March 2004
RBKids purchases 627 tickets for students, teachers and chaperones to attend the show 42nd Street at the Ford Center for Performing Arts.

 

 

February 2004
Chinatown’s PS 130 hosts an RBKids performance for special guests Diane Sawyer and Caroline Kennedy and ABC’s Good Morning America.

January 2004
Rosie O’Donnell makes a guest appearance at RBKids culminating performances. Her attendance is met with wild enthusiasm by children and parents.

Second Semester classes begin in six more of Manhattan’s neediest schools.

RBKids Team Excel scholarship classes begin at a studio in Times Square.

December 2003
Tony Award® Winner, Sutton Foster, Tony Nominee John Tartaglia and Eric Scott Kincaid from the Broadway community visit the schools and perform for students.
